1 2 3 Clap
2010
The M’s last rehearsal space was in Andersonville on Bryn Mawr in an old Salvation Army Church come hoarder storage space. There was no heat (we called it the Salvation Ice Box) but it was the best. We shared the space with glamsters Urge Overkill, but they had fallen from the top of their mountain and weren’t too active, so we had this giant auditorium to ourselves and played a ton of music there. When the M’s went on hiatus in 2008, me, Joey King, Steve Versaw, and Glenn Rischke (who joined The M’s on our last, 2008 tour playing keys) decided to create a project where we would record audio and video for 1 song in 1 day. One person would come with a song idea, and we’d all join in and figure out our parts, costuming, lighting etc. The name 1 2 3 Clap came from how we’d line up the audio to video.
